ClickClaims CMS Receives E-Fusion Award for Claims Management
New Orleans, LA October 26, 2006 E-Claim.com, LLC, a privately-owned company based in
Gretna, LA, was recognized as an award recipient in the E-Fusion Insurance and Technology
Awards competition, in the category of claims management. The companys flagship product,
ClickClaims, a Web-based Claims Management System (CMS), was recognized for its business
value, technological innovation, and the significant benefits it has provided to independent
adjusting firms in the processing of high volume catastrophe claims.
The awards, covering six categories of technology development, were presented at A.M.
Best's Insurance and Technology Conference, E-Fusion, in Boston Oct. 24th. The awards
recognize innovative, business-focused uses of technology in actual use by insurers.
The emphasis was on the business reasoning that gave birth to each project and results
that were generated.
"The presentations were insightful; they represented the ongoing work insurance
organizations are putting into technology to leverage business value," said Paul Tinnirello,
A.M. Best executive vice president, chief information officer and conference chairman.
"Three years ago, we saw a need in this industry and went after it. We work closely with
our clients and focus on ways to not only improve their business, but the industry as well,"
said Thomas Brown, President and founder. "ClickClaims is truly an innovative product
in the fact that it was specifically designed to manage the extremely challenging area
of catastrophe claims. Our product takes several days off the claim cycle times, so
insureds get their claims paid faster. At the end of the day, if you can do that, you
will be successful."
"With technology making its way into most areas of insurance, we saw that catastrophe
claims management wasnt catching on as quickly," said Niki Arena, lead programmer. "And
the need was definitely there, especially considering how quickly the catastrophe claims
process evolves. Using paper just doesnt make sense anymore."
In their E-Fusion Award presentation and demonstration, E-Claim.com created a case study
of two independent adjusting firms and illustrated how both of those companies handled a
catastrophe one, a paper-based operation, and the other, a firm using the ClickClaims
Claims Management System. This presentation method truly gave the attendees and the
judges a clear picture of how using the system has revolutionized the industry and gets
claims processed faster, saving our clients both time and money.
Looking forward, the company plans to expand ClickClaims CMS by incorporating modules
for municipal and specialty risk management.
