Opening PegaWorld 2025 in Las Vegas, Pegasystems founder and CEO Alan Trefler called for a more deliberate and structured approach to AI adoption, warning that uncoordinated efforts driven by prompt engineering alone risk becoming disorderly and ineffective.
“There are some people who tell you that you’re going to need thousands of agents, driven by prompts, doing things,” Trefler said. “Now of course, thousands of agents driven by individually written prompts are all going to do the exact same thing together, right? Not so
