The complaint states that Ivory Gem submitted a claim to Allstate on January 21, 2025. By February 25, 2025, Allstate acknowledged via email that the loss was not excluded under the policy. Despite this, Ivory Gem alleges, Allstate failed to issue any payment and delayed further investigation into the claim. On March 26, 2025, Ivory Gem submitted a sworn proof of loss, stating that the actual cash value of the damaged inventory totaled $267,000. The company provided Allstate with income tax returns, a profit and loss statement, and a letter from its bookkeeper confirming the value of the lost inventory.
